Features
In terms of performance, electric karts, just like those powered by internal combustion engines, offer different performances depending on engine power and overall weight of the vehicle. The big difference between the two types of kart can be found in the fact that electric motors express maximum torque already from 0 rpm. This allows blazing acceleration. How fast is an electric kart? To give a reference, there are electric karts able of reaching a speed of 80 km/h in about 6 seconds. As mentioned, however, the performance of an electric Viper Kart can be influenced by several factors, such as the additional weight due to the motor power system.
Power supply
Do electric motors need batteries? The answer is yes, they do: electric motors are powered by special batteries installed in the kart. The weight of a battery pack needed to power an electric kart, whether for adults or children, can vary depending on the performance you want to achieve and on how long the kart's power supply needs to last. How long can a battery for a kart engine last? Recharging the batteries that power a kart can last over 30 minutes of use of the kart itself: it can take 1 hour, guaranteeing medium-high performance.
